The SEC position on ASCII and
HTML
“The EDGAR system accepts both ASCII and HTML documents as official
filings. The Commission is not now requiring the use of HTML. However,
the Commission expects to require HTML for most filings in the future,
so it encourages filers to use it and gain experience with this format
if they do not have it already.”
